“Obama Will NOT Keep Off The Gay Topic in Kenya.” White House Press Secretary Declares

josh earnestVarious political and religious leaders have since last week come out to warn President Obama that he should keep off the gay topic while in Kenya.
It started with Deputy President William Ruto who declared on Sunday that Kenyans are very religious and are all going to heaven, and will not permit sinners to spread homosexuality.
A protest was held and even the speaker warned on the same.
I’ve never really understood these Kenyan politicians.
Instead of Ruto telling us how they’ll engage Obama to ensure we have direct flights to the US, he’s busy whipping emotions with pronouncements he can’t make to Obama’s face.
Speaking on the issue, White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest said that President Obama will not keep off, adding that it is his duty as he travels around the world to raise concern about human rights.
“Obviously, we have been clear that when the president travels around the world, he does not hesitate to raise concerns about human rights,” Earnest continued. “And that’s been true when he’s traveled to places like China, it’ll be true tomorrow when he meets with the general secretary of Vietnam, and I’m confident the president will not hesitate to make clear the protection of basic human rights in Kenya is also a priority consistent with the values that we hold dear here in the United States of America.”
Assuming he does speak on homosexuality, I’d like to see what action these guys holding demos and calling for press conferences would take. After All, secret service si ya mama ya mtu.
