It’s bad news for lovers of Africa’s highly acclaimed reality show Big Brother as the 2015 edition has been cancelled.
According to reports the show has been cancelled due to lack of sponsorship. The organizers of the show, Africa Magic and Endemol are unable to get sponsorship for the show.
Credible sources within the Multichoice franchise across Africa claim to have received notice from MNET that this year’s edition of Big Brother Africa will not be proceeding as expected
However, regional Big Brother shows which include Big Brother Angola and Big Brother Mzansi, will continue to entertain fans in their respective regions.
During last year’s edition, Kenya was represented by Melvin Alusa and Sabina Stadler. Tanzania’s Idris Sultan emerged the winner and went home with the star prize of USD300, 000.
