Grammy Award nominee and one of the most decorated personalities in hip hop, Young Guru, is set for a show in Nairobi later this month.
Young Guru is a renowned audio engineer, record producer and DJ. Real name Gimel Androus Keaton, Young Guru was named “the most famous and successful engineer in the history of hip-hop” by Wall Street Journal on April 2015.
The DJ has played a major role in big name labels such as P Diddy’s Bad Boy Records and Jay Z’s Roc A Fella Records. He has also been a major part of several artists’ careers such as Beyonce, Rihanna, Ludacris, Ghostface Killah, Cam’ron, Redman & Method Man, Mariah Carey, Fabolous, Talib Kweli, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony and T.I
Young Guru will be playing on the next edition of Nairobi Hip Hop Rhapsody slated for July 16th.
